Itinerary

Upon arrival in Cape Town, meeting with your guide and transfer to the hotel. In the early afternoon the guide will take you for an orientation visit to the city during which, depending on the time available, you will visit some of the city main points of attraction such as:   Signal Hill, the landmark flat-topped hill adjacent to Lion’s Head from which you can admire the views over the city bowl and the Table Bay. Company Gardens, the first vegetable garden built by the Dutch East India Company to supply vegetables to the passing ships that is now a splendid public garden where you can walk among centuries-old trees. Bo Kaap, the colourful neighbourhood with many small mosques and buildings dating back to the period of the Dutch occupation. Your arrival day in Cape Town will end with a beautiful sunset cruise on the Table Bay waters to admire the breathtaking views of the Atlantic seaboard. After the city orientation tour the guide will take you to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront at the boat charters departure quay on time for the departure of the sunset cruise.       *This activity depends on weather and sea conditions   THE RADISSON BLU Waterfront  5***** Room type: Standard Suite – Included: Breakfast

After breakfast, meet with the guide at reception and depart for a full day excursion of the Cape of Good Hope Peninsula. An excursion that offers incredibly evocative landscapes! The first stop is Hout Bay where you can do a short boat trip to Seal Island before continuing along the panoramic coastal road Chapman’s Peak which will take you all the way to Cape Point, the southern tip of Africa where the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean ideally meet. After a short lunch break (lunch not included) at one the sea food restaurants in the area you will visit Boulders Beach, the unusual beach near Simon’s Town home to the colony of the friendly little African penguins, also jokingly known as ‘Jack Ass Penguins’.

Meet at reception with your guide and depart for a visit to the top of the iconic Table Mountain. Weather permitting, from the base a revolving cable car will take you to the summit of the Table Mountain in a few minutes. At the top you are going to be 1087 mt above the city of Cape Town and you will be able to admire the fantastic views of the city bowl, the Table Bay all the way to the historic Robben Island, the prison Island where Nelson Mandela imprisoned before the fall of Apartheid.

The guide will be at your disposal for all day to accompany you on one of the below activities: 1)  The Cape Winelands: Visit the picturesque and romantic Cape Winelands. Driving through evocative landscapes of green hills and boundless vineyards you will visit the small towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. During this tour you can also visit various wineries and taste the excellent locally produced wines which are now famous throughout the world. 2)  Hermanus Whales watching: Only possible between June and October. Day trip to Hermanus to spot the Southern Right Whales which every year in this period approach the coasts of South Africa to give birth. In Hermanus is possible to book a boat trip to go see the whales up close. The bat trip must be booked in advance and is not included, your guide will be able to assist you with the booking. 3)  Robben Island: To be booked in advance. For those who are not interested in the beaches we recommend going to visit Robben Island, the rented island where during the years of Apartheid Nelson Mandela remained in exile for 18 years which is now part of the cultural heritage of South Africa and is open to the public.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport on time for the departure of the scheduled flight to Nelspruit KMI. Upon arrival at the Nelspruit/Mbombela KMI airport you will meet a driver that will transfer you (the transfer time is almost 2 hours) to Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge.                                                                                                                                           The Sabi Sabi Game Reserve is a private concession located within the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, one of the oldest game reserves in the country with over 50 km of unfenced border with the Kruger National Park.                                                                                                                                                                                                         In the afternoon, first exciting safari on board 4x4 open-top vehicles guided by the expert local rangers. The safari is over 3 hours long and the return to the lodge is expected after the great savannah sunset. SABI SABI BUSH LODGE  5***** Room type: Tented suite – Included: All meals and safaris

Today you will get a very early wakeup call from your ranger so that you can be ready to depart at dawn for the first of the two safaris of the day. Your expert ranger will drive across the concession with the open game viewing vehicles to spot the Big Five !                                                  Lion-Leopard-Rhino-Elephant-Buffalo, the large African mammals considered by old hunters to be among the most difficult animals to hunt on foot.                                                                            In the afternoon you will go on the second safari of the day, this safari will end after sunset and during the safari the ranger will stop in a safe spot of the reserve to serve you a sundowner drink and allow you time to enjoy the great sunset on the savannah.                                                    Your ranger will inform you on the exact time of the safaris as well as brief you on the safety tips to observe during your stay in the game reserve.

After the morning safari and check-out a local guide will meet you at reception  to  guide you on  a day trip along the Panorama Route and the Blyde River Canyon. The Blyde River Canyon is the world 3rd largest canyon and is the only canyon rich in vegetation.                                                                                                                                                During this day excursion along the Panorama Route on the Drakensberg Escarpment you will visit the main look out points of the canyon, the Three Rondavels and God's Window as well as other main attractions of the area such as Pilgrim Rest and Bourke's Luck Potholes. After breakfast and some time to relax by the swimming pool a driver will meet you at reception and take you to Nelspruit/Mbombela airport "KMI Airport" which is located only 20km from your hotel. Departure for Johannesburg with a scheduled flight. Arrival in Johannesburg on time for your connection flight and departure for the return journey to your destination.
