If you’re looking for an unforgettable trip to South Africa, this tour is the perfect choice for you!
Arrival in Cape Town and transfer to the hotel. Transfer service included. In the afternoon, take an orientation tour of the city on the City Sightseeing Red Bus (the red double-decker bus) https://www.citysightseeing.co.za/cape-town and, weather permitting, go up Table Mountain (officially considered the seventh wonder of the world). A rotating cable car quickly connects the base to the summit every 30 minutes. Once at the top, you can admire the beautiful panorama of Table Bay and the city. * Red Bus ticket (cost Rand 180) and cable car ticket (cost Rand 360 per person) to be purchased on-site. Hotel: LA SPLENDIDA HOTEL 3*** Superior Room type: Standard Double - Overnight stays include: Breakfast
Pick up your rental car at the AVIS office in the city and depart to explore the Cape of Good Hope Peninsula. Hout Bay, Seal Island (home to seals), Cape Point (the southernmost tip of Africa where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans theoretically meet), the colony of adorable "Jack Ass" penguins at Boulders Beach, and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are among the main attractions of the day.
After breakfast, depart to explore the romantic and picturesque Cape Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, where, besides enjoying the charming scenery, you can also visit various wineries and taste excellent locally produced wines.
A day at your disposal to visit the fabulous beaches of Cape Town or explore the city center and visit the Bo Kaap neighborhood with its small mosques and buildings dating back to the Dutch occupation period. Nearby is also the South African Museum of Ethnology and Natural History. The museum overlooks the Company Gardens, the first garden established by the Dutch East India Company to supply passing ships with vegetables, and now a splendid garden where you can stroll among ancient trees and squirrels. The Parliament House also overlooks the garden. For those who prefer a day of relaxation, we recommend the fabulous beaches of Camps Bay or Clifton.
Early morning transfer to the airport, return the car, and take a domestic flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, pick up your rental car at the AVIS office at the airport and depart for Hazyview. The distance between Johannesburg and Hazyview is 400 km, and the journey takes almost 5 hours. Hotel: UMBHABA LODGE 3* Room type: Standard Double - Overnight stays include: Breakfast
After breakfast, depart along the Panorama Route to explore this area of the Mpumalanga region, which offers breathtaking landscapes and views. Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, God's Window, and Pilgrim Rest are among the main attractions of the area.
After breakfast, check-out and depart towards Hoedspruit along the R40. Continue in the direction of Phalaborwa, then turn left onto the R530 and right onto the R36 (Consult the map of the area for details). After check-in and lunch, depart for the first exciting safari on open 4x4 vehicles, guided by the expert rangers of Karongwe. The safari lasts over 3 hours, and the return to the lodge is scheduled just after sunset. Your ranger will provide you with the exact safari times. Karongwe Private Game Reserve is a 'Big Five' private wildlife and nature reserve that extends over 8,000 hectares of land. Hotel: CHISOMO TENTED CAMP 4**** Room type: Standard Double - Overnight stays include: Full board + all safaris
During your stay at Karongwe Private Game Reserve, you will have 2 safaris each day: one at dawn and one in the afternoon. Your ranger or the staff of Karongwe will communicate the exact safari times.
After breakfast, depart for Johannesburg in time for your return flight to Italy. The distance between Karongwe and Johannesburg is about 560 km, and the journey takes about 6 hours, so calculate the transfer times well to arrive at Johannesburg's airport (OR TAMBO Airport) and return the car at least 3 hours before your return flight to Italy.
