A safari in a mobile tented camp is a unique experience. This is undoubtedly the best way to experience the safari and immerse yourself in the wild nature that characterizes Botswana.
It is suitable for those who want to take a leap into the past and try to live as the explorers and hunters of the past lived. The mobile tented camp will give you strong emotions and will be an experience that you will remember for a lifetime. No photograph can match the reality that you will experience in these days.
Arrival in Maun, one of our guides will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to Crocodile Camp Safari & Spa. Crocodile Camp is located on the banks of the Thamalakane River and from the viewing deck you can admire crocodiles, hippos and elephants. Take the rest of the day to relax after the long flight.
Your guide will pick you up at the lodge reception and take you to the embarkation point from where you will depart with the mokoro ‘typical flat-keeled boat of the delta’ for a spectacular morning in the channels of this unique and spectacular ecosystem. Lunch on one of the islands of the delta. During the day you will go on a walking excursion accompanied by our guides in search of the animals that live in this part of the delta. Return to the lodge around 16:00. Recommended excursion (not included in the cost) not to be missed: Scenic flight over the Okavango Delta Transfer to the small airport of Maun in time for the take-off of the piper flight. The flight lasts about 45 minutes. Take-off at 16:00 to fly over the delta in the golden hour, the perfect time for photography. Return transfer to the camp.
Breakfast and transfer to the mobile tented camp in the Moremi area. Lunch and departure for the first exciting safari aboard the 4x4 vehicle provided to your driver/ranger. The return to the camp is scheduled for late afternoon. Dinner at the camp. (Total km travelled throughout the day is about 80)
Breakfast and departure for the first safari/transfer day, we go to the Moremi area. While you are busy with the safari our staff will dismantle the camp and reassemble it in the new area before your arrival. Lunch will be served during the safari. Return to the camp to freshen up before leaving for the late afternoon safari in the Khwai area, perfect area for leopard sightings. Dinner on return to the camp.
The all day dedicated to exploring the Savuti. The vegetation between Moremi and Savuti is very different, the Savuti has more trees, low and tall, the Moremi has mostly low bushes typical of the savannah. Both areas are the Big 5 areas. Lunch during the transfer and dinner at the camp.
This day of safari will take you to Chobe National Park. During the journey you will be able to admire the variety and abundance of vegetation and wildlife of this area. Traveling through the beautiful slopes that border the Chobe River valley. The sand road will take you to the Chobe River, the natural and political border between Botswana and Namibia. Looking at the Namibian shore, you can see the distant expanses of the Caprivi Strip. Packed lunch and dinner at the camp. (Total km travelled throughout the day about 80)
Departure to Kasane. This was the last night in the mobile tented camp! Kasane is the town near the border between Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. In the afternoon cruise on the Chobe River to observe the animals from the river, an experience that you will remember for a lifetime. Overnight at the Kubu Lodge in Kasane. (Total km travelled in the whole day about 120)
