The mobile safari tented camp is a unique experience. This is undoubtedly the best way to experience the safari and immerse yourself in the wild nature that characterizes Botswana.
Suitable for those who want to take a leap into the past and try to live as the explorers and hunters of the past lived. The mobile tented camp will give you strong emotions and will be an experience that you will remember for a lifetime. No photograph can match the reality that you will experience in these days.
Arrival in Victoria Falls, sorting of the customs formalities (the visa is obtained at the airport, and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon transfer to the pier for the mini cruise on the Zambezi River where you can admire the first of the wonderful African sunsets of your trip. Ask reception for the exact time of the transfer to the pier. After the cruise transfer to the hotel and dinner (not included).
After breakfast (ask at the reception to have the exact departure time) meeting with the local guide (English speaking) and departure for the guided tour of the waterfalls to admire up close the highest waterfalls in the world, the highest part reaches over 100 meters high. At the end of the view of the waterfalls there will be a lunch stop at the look out restaurant, a restaurant with a spectacular location and uninterrupted view of the waterfalls! *Lunch fee not included to be paid on site. *Waterfall entrance fee of USD 50 per person not included to be paid on site. With the ranger you will leave towards Chobe National Park to reach your mobile safari camp.
After breakfast we leave for a full day of safari and transfer that takes us to the south-west side of Chobe area, the Savuti. While you are busy with a day entirely dedicated to the safari and the search for the Big 5 your mobile safari camp will be moved to the Savuti area which is the destination of this leg of your journey. You travel through the splendid slopes that border the Chobe River where you can admire herds of buffalo, elephants and various antelopes that gather on the riverbank.
Full day dedicated to exploring the Savuti area. After the morning safari, we return to the camp for lunch and a few hours of relaxation. In the afternoon we leave for another safari.
The all day dedicated to exploring the Savuti. The vegetation between Moremi and Savuti is very different, the Savuti has more trees, low and tall, the Moremi has mostly low bushes typical of the savannah. Both areas are the Big 5 areas. Lunch during the transfer and dinner at the camp. Arrival at the camp is scheduled for early afternoon. You have a couple of hours to relax before departing for a late afternoon game drive in the Khwai area, an area perfect for leopard viewing. Dinner will be served upon return to the camp.
This was the last night in the mobile tented camp. Today you will move south towards Maun to go to the South East side of the Okavango Delta. The destination is the Crocodile Camp Safari & Spa which is located along the banks of the Thamalakane River. Rest of the day at leisure to relax or to go spotting hippos and crocodiles that populate the Thamalakane River from the lodge deck.
Your guide will pick you up at the lodge reception and take you to the embarkation point from where you will depart with the mokoro ‘typical flat-keeled boat of the delta’ for a spectacular morning in the channels of this unique and spectacular ecosystem. Lunch on one of the islands of the delta. During the day you will go on a walking excursion accompanied by our guides in search of the animals that live in this part of the delta. Return to the lodge around 16:00. *Recommended excursion (not included in the cost and to be booked in advance): Panoramic flight over the Okavango Delta by plane or helicopter based on availability. Take off from the small airport of Maun and fly over the southern part of the Delta. The flight lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Full day trip. The journey is about 300km and this trip is practically a safari day because to reach Kasane you will have to cross the Khwai, the Savuti, and a large part of the Chobe so consider this the last safari of this trip. During the trip a lunch stop is planned (packed lunch included) and the arrival in Kasane is scheduled for the late afternoon. The duration of this trip is about 9 hours. This trip can also be done on asphalt road, duration about 6 hours and the route is 590km. *It is also possible to do this route by plane, the flight lasts about 1 hour and must be booked in advance.
Transfer to Victoria Falls airport in time for your return flight to Europe.
